Head coach of Nigeria's senior women team, Edwin Okon has praised the performance of his team against Zambia while revealing that the ultimate dream is to reclaim the African Women Championship title.
The Super Falcons whitewashed their Zambian counterparts 6-0 in their second Group A game at the Sam Njouma Stadium on Tuesday in Windhoek.
A brace from Desire Oparanzie and a goal each from Ngozi Ebere, Oshinachi Ohale, Asisat Oshoala and veteran Pepertua Nkwocha ensured the Super Falcons booked their place in the last four of the tournament.
"I am excited for booking the ticket to the semifinal stage but it is not yet over. Our eyes are on the ball and we are looking to get to the final and win the Cup for a record seven times," Okon said.
"Like I said earlier before the game, we are going to take it one match at a time," he concluded.
Super Falcons will next face debutants and hosts Namibia on Friday, October 17, 2014.
