First Lady Mourns Former MD of NAN


First Lady, Dame Patience Faka Jonathan has described the demise of the former Managing Director of News Agency of Nigeria, Mrs. Remi Oyo as a great loss to Journalism profession and the Nigerian women.

In a statement by Ayo Adewuyi Media Assistant, Office of the First Lady, recalled the professional way in which she handled her assignment as the Special Adviser on Media to former President Olusegun Obasanjo and how she turned around the fortune of the News Agency of Nigeria when she held sway as the Managing Director.
Dame Patience Jonathan commiserated with her husband Vincent Oyo, the Nigerian Guild of Editors, the Nigerian Union of Journalists and the Managing Director of News Agency of Nigeria, Mr. Ima Niboro over the passing away of Mrs. Remi Oyo.
The First Lady prayed Almighty God to console her immediate and extended families and grant the soul of the departed, a peaceful rest.
