Milan goalkeeper Lopez to miss Juve clash

AC Milan goalkeeper Diego Lopez has been ruled out for two weeks after sustaining a thigh injury in Sunday's thrilling 5-4 win at Parma. The Spaniard suffered the injury in farcical circumstances, mis-controlling a backpass from Mattia De Sciglio and then pulling up as he attempted, unsuccessfully, to prevent the ball from trickling over the line. Brazilian defender Alex had to be withdrawn shortly after the hour mark at the Stadio Ennio Tardini to be replaced by Cristian Zapata. His status for the weekend clash with the defending champions at San Siro remains uncertain. A Milan statement read: "AC Milan communicates the following updates regarding the injuries to Diego Lopez and Alex following the match with Parma. "The goalkeeper suffered a right thigh injury. He will be evaluated in a couple of weeks. "The defender meanwhile is struggling with bruising to a muscle in his right thigh. "In the following days there will be further tests to determine the prognosis." The victory made it two wins from two for new coach Filippo Inzaghi, whose side sit top of the table.
